Yolanda Parente

Yolanda Parente, 91, of Torrington, CT passed away Monday, April 11, 2022.  

Yolanda was born November 27, 1930, in Torrington, Connecticut.  She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary Rose (Pelosi) Parente.  Yolanda’s husband of 69 years, Liberato, recently passed away in January.  She was predeceased by her sisters Hilda Parente, Anna Dioria and Marzia Villareale and her brother Vincent Parente.  Yolanda was a communicant of St. Peter Church.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Yolanda is survived by her son, Anthony (Sandra), her daughter Roseanna and her son Lee (Christine).  Yolanda is also survived by her grandchildren Dustin Parente (Kathryn), Kelsey Klebart (George) and Olivia, Lauren and Nicholas Parente.  Yolanda was blessed with great grandchildren Sophia, Ellie, Mae and Leo.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Yolanda’s focus was her family.  She spent many hours watching and spoiling her grandchildren, which she cherished.  Her family filled the house on holidays and Sundays enjoying her sauce, meatballs and braciole.  Yolanda and Liberato enjoyed traveling to Italy, Hawaii and California.  Sunday family trips to the beach in Milford, CT were also a favorite.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington to St Peter Church, 99 East Main Street, Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.   Calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. April 25th.
