I am very sorry to hear of Sy's passing. I will treasure the memories of Sy and Minnie dancing to the Walt Dolecki Band. He and Minnie were good friends of the Dolecki family and will be greatly missed.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Silvio "Sy" Florio, a most dedicated individual who distinguished himself by meritorious service to God, his country, family, and his community. A World War II Combat Army Artilleryman, he continued to serve as one of the founding members of our Veterans Service Office Military Final Honors Squad for more than 18 years. His memory will always be treasured and respected as his WWII Army Ike jacket is posted on the wall of our Military Honors Museum located in our Veterans Service Office, Fuessenich Park, Torrington. Rest in Peace "Sy" and thank you for a job well done!!! Gone but will never forgotten!
