Lenore (Gelormino) Delvecchio

Lenore (Gelormino) Delvecchio, 84, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away, Monday, July 3, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Delvecchio for 53 years.

Lenore was born October 8, 1932, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Carmine and Lena (Parisi) Gelormino.  She was employed by the Torrington School System as a Teacher until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Tom Delvecchio of Torrington, Robert Delvecchio, Jr. (Ellie) of Canton, CT; a daughter, Laurie Parrott (Gerald) of Torrington, a brother, Joseph Gelormino (Viola) of Torrington; two grandchildren, Nick Delvecchio and Robert Delvecchio, III (Valerie), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 9:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.   Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.   Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
