Charles "Chuck" G. Mubarek

Charles “Chuck” G. Mubarek, 55, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016.  He was the loving husband of Darlene (Roys) Mubarek.

Chuck was born November 3, 1960, in Winsted, CT, son of Matilda (Rizk) Mubarek of Torrington, and of the late Charles Mubarek.  He was a graduate of Gilbert High School and also of the Mercedes Master Technical School.  He was employed by McDonald Auto Parts as a driver.

An avid golfer, Chuck was a member of the Greenwoods Country Club.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling with his wife, especially to Disney World every fall, spending time with his family and friends, and taking long walks.   He also was a fan of the Miami Dolphins football and of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball teams.

In addition to his wife Darlene, and his mother, Tillie, he is survived by two brothers, George Mubarek (Pauli Jayne) of Winsted, and Naim “Bud” Mubarek of Torrington, his goddaughter, Kaylee Resha; brother-in-law Grove Roys (Laurie); sisters-in-law, Sheila Fitzsimons (Joe),  Sharon Roys (Albert Phalen) Cindy Roys (Michael St. John), as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Adele Mubarek.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington.  All relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.
