My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Chuck's family.
He will be missed by all who loved him and never forgotten. He was a gentle giant and a kind, warm hearted guy. His sense of humor and laid back personality was what I remembered of Chuck. Many a fall day I would ride on the back of our friend Mark G.'s bike. The lunches, dinners and at the end of the ride, our coffee trips to the Winsted Rd. coffee house.
He was one of "the good guys".
May he rest in peace until we meet again in Heaven.
Kathy Casey

to the family of Gail, Rosan, Steven, Krystal, and Beth,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Chuck was a great person. He had great warmth for people, for his friends and family. His quick smile and hearty laugh embraced us all. We were boyhood friends and spent many summers building tree forts in the woods. I will not forget his adventurous spirit. Please accept my deepest condolences.

To my very first friend. Can it really be 54 years since we built our first "fort" in my backyard. You were 6 and I was 5. We shared a life time of memories and you will always be remembered until we meet again in eternity. To Gail, Lou, Rosan, John, Steven and Beth you guys really pulled together to support Chuck in this fight. It was inspiring to see the love you all put forth in helping him through. He was a lucky man to have a family like yours.
My Love to You All,
Mark

July 22, 2016 4:27 PM

YESTERDAY the world became a much darker place, TODAY is a sad & heartbreaking day, & TOMORROW my world will NEVER be the same. My family NOT ONLY lost a DEVOTED brother, family member & Guardian Angel, the world NOT ONLY lost a brave & courageous US Marine, but MOST IMPORTANTLY.... I LOST my AMAZING Uncle, DEAR FRIEND, & my HERO.... My Uncle-- Charles "Chucky" Videtto. My Uncle Chucky was a man of remarkable stature; he was a down-to-earth, laid-back COMEDIAN who would've given you the shirt off his back. But, at the end of the day what he will be most known for is the HERO that he was to my family & I. He was the type of man that would go above & beyond the duty of a PROTECTOR; he would not think twice about laying his life down for his brother/sisters, family, & friends. He was adventurous & wild; whether it was losing teeth in a bar fight, crashing his hang glider into the trees 😂, or bringing home a WOLF from the desert to be his pet-- my uncle left an everlasting imprint on every life that he touched. At the end of the day, we all lose those we love however, at the end of MY day, I've lost much more than just someone I love- I've lost my Uncle, my Godfather, my Guardian Angel, my Friend, & MOST IMPORTANTLY-- my HERO & that is something that I will NEVER be able to get over. Take a moment today to kiss the ones that you love; tell them you LOVE THEM & how much they mean to you because TODAY is just borrowed, TOMORROW is never promised & LIFE is far too short to waste time.
To My Uncle-- My Hero: The words "I miss & love you" are simply just NOT ENOUGH. Although I know that you are in a better place, free from the pain & cancer that took your life, I simply do not know how I will ever go on without you. I am so very grateful for everything you've done for me; you truly are more than just an uncle & a Godfather, you are my FRIEND & MY HERO! Goodbye for now but, NEVER FOREVER. Until we meet again- keep SMILING, watch over our family, & STAY OFF God's HANG GLIDERS. I LOVE YOU with all that I am; I love you whole-heartedly & to the depths of my soul. Semper Fi, God Bless, & remember- I've ALWAYS GOT YOUR SIX!
RIP 💖 I love you,
Jaci, your partner-in-crime
