Ms. Susan Marriott, originally from Skippack, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 81 years old. Susan was the third child of George P. Woodward and Laura (Hankinson) Woodward, and sister of George P. Woodward Jr. and Laura E. Woodward. She was pre-deceased by her husband Haydn Marriott III, Freesia, Puss Puss, Little Puss, Scooby, Candy, and Hocus Pocus.

She grew up in Roslyn, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Abington Senior High School’s Class of 1959. On September 25th, 1965, she married Haydn Marriott III in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Later, she and her husband moved to Skippack, Pennsylvania, to raise their two boys, Haydn Marriott IV and Erich Marriott. There, they became dear friends of The Albrights, The DiNennos, and The O’Briens. These families were an integral part of Sue and the boys' lives after she became widowed in 1977. She was an active congregant of Christ Lutheran Church in Harleysville, Pennsylvania.

Susan, also known as Granny, Sue, Mom, Mother, Mrs. M, and Suzy Q is survived by Haydn Marriott IV and his wife Charlotte; Erich Marriott and his wife Eileen and two children, Haydn Michael Marriott and Cecelia Elizabeth Marriott; and two nephews, George P. “Buddy” Woodward III and Todd Daniel Woodward.

Susan was always the life of the party. She loved her friends and family, birds, nature, traveling, and a good glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Her last few weeks were spent surrounded by happiness with her grandchildren in Connecticut. She enjoyed coloring with her granddaughter, Cecelia and watching TV shows with her grandson, Haydn.

Susan requested that her celebration of life be private, and her ashes be spread at sea.
