Susan E. (Eddy) Greene

“The classiest lady who ever walked.” 

Susan E. (Eddy) Greene, 78, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her residence. 

Susan was born June 20, 1943, in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Francis and Charlotte (Benz) Eddy.  She retired from Haynes Construction where she was employed as a Dispatcher.  Susan loved spending time outdoors with her dogs and tending to her coi pond and loved all animals.  The very special times in her life were when she was with her family, she was loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by the love of her life,  John R. Duart  forty plus years of sheer happiness ; two daughters, Pamela G. Mort and her husband Christopher of Hoosick, NY, Anne Greene of Sharon, SC; four grandchildren, Corbin Tracy, Raymond Kelly and his wife Megan, Kevin Grosso, Kendra Grosso and two great grandchildren, Ella and Jack Kelly.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  Doors open at 12:00 noon, service at 1:30 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.  A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. All attending services are requested to wear protective face masks while inside the funeral home.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
