Margaret "Peggy" M. O'Brien

Margaret “Peggy” M. O’Brien, 63, of Bethel Park, PA, formerly of Torrington, CT, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Robert Blanc for fifteen years.

Peggy was born February 9, 1958, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Robert and Dena (Pace) O’Brien. As a child, she loved going to the Torrington YMCA and made that passion her career by working at various YMCAs as an administrator in many of the northeastern states.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, James O’Brien of Shreveport, LA, as well as a large extended family which includes Stella Enright whom she embraced in her life, and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home and also on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are requested to wear protective face masks while attending services inside of the funeral home.
