Karen Jean (Ammirato) Paganini, 67, of Torrington, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Born in Torrington, September 2, 1953, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Porro) Ammirato, she was a graduate of Torrington High School, class of 1971. She was a seamstress at Torrington Distributors, working there for over 40 years, retiring in 2015. Karen was very personable, always taking pleasure in sharing a conversation with anyone. She loved spending time with her family and relaxing at home, enjoying her retirement.

Karen is survived by her son, Mansueto Paganini, Jr., his wife Kate, and their son, Maverick; her daughter Morgan Paganini and son, Toby Schoonmaker, her twins Katie and Michael, and their father, Mansueto Paganini, Sr. She is also survived by two brothers, Carmen Ammirato and his wife Marlene, and her twin, Joseph Ammirato and his wife, Sandy, and three sisters, Joanne Gerardi and her husband Daniel, Mary Ammirato and her husband Charlie, Patricia Roller and her husband, Wolf, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael Ammirato.

There will be no calling hours or services upon request of the family. In return, we ask that you celebrate her life in a way that she would have loved.
