Giovanni Fappiano

Giovanni Fappiano, 80, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Angela (Romano) Fappiano.

Giovanni was born August 4, 1941, in Benevento, Italy, the son of the late Alfredo and Addolorata (Rubano) Fappiano.  He was employed by Stone Container as a Machine Operator until his retirement. 

He is survived by a daughter, Dora Fappiano Heacox, and her husband John of Torrington, CT; two brothers, Pasquale Fappiano of Torrington, CT, Antonio Fappiano of Italy; two sisters, Assunta Viscarello and Rafella Suppa both of Torrington, CT; one grandson, John Heacox, Jr., as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church, and all attending the Mass are requested to wear protective face masks while inside of St. Peter Church.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.
