Eliezer Nieves Malave Obituary

Eliezer Nieves Malave, 57, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. 

Born September 9, 1965, In Comerio, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Eugenia Malave Colon of Hartford, CT, and of the late Eliseo Nieves Malave.  He was employed by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT as a Respiratory Therapist.  He served with the United States Army, honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

In addition to his mother, Eugenia and his step-father Ramon Febo of Hartford, CT, he is survived by his fiancée Mayda Lopez-Rivera of Torrington, CT; two sons, Christopher Cook of North Alexandria, PA, Juan Nieves Malave of Torrington, CT; two daughters, Bianca Nieves Malave and Shaely Nieves Malave both of Torrington, CT; one brother, Rafael Vargas of Hartford, CT; one sister, Ana Ivette Nieves of Hartford, CT; five grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.  Final military honors will be accorded at 6:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.  Burial will be private.
