Elaine F. (Kules) Berry

Elaine Berry, 79, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Elaine was born in Torrington, CT on June 14, 1941, a daughter of the late William Kules and Mary (Ducatelli) Kules.  She attended St. Francis Parochial School and graduated from Torrington High School in 1959.  Elaine became a hair dresser after graduating from high school.  She held several other jobs including Michael's Jewelers, Coury's Auto Body, and the State of CT Department of Motor Vehicles prior to moving to Florida in 1990.  She spent several joyous years in Florida and traveling the country in her RV before moving back to CT in 2001 to be closer to her family. 

Elaine leaves behind her daughter Lisa Maraia and husband, Stephen, of Torrington, her son Rob Marinelli and wife, Suzanne, of Crestview, FL, her sister Joanne Pesce and husband, Mark, of Wolcott, her brother Bill Kules and wife, Lori, of Decatur, IL, her grandchildren, Alyssa and Matthew Maraia and Anthony and Lexi Marinelli.  She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Elaine treasured her time spent with her family from watching her grandchildren, going to all of their sporting events, dance recitals and school activities, their annual family Christmas party and family gatherings, her trips to Colorado to visit her son and his family, and spending time with her nephew, Vinnie.  She also loved her crafts, scrapbooking, and baking.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
