Donald Masucci

Donald Masucci, 81, of Winsted, CT, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Conforti) Masucci.

Donald was born August 8, 1940, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Alexander and Charlotte (Sunseri) Masucci.  He served his country with the U.S. Army in Korea and was honorably discharged in February of 1962.  He was employed by the Torrington Company as an Estimating Technician until his retirement. Donald and Patricia met on Highland Lake in 1964, purchased their first house on the lake in 1989 and spent much of their married life committed to preserving the beauty and sustainability of their beloved lake and community.

He is survived by one son, Paul Masucci of Winsted, CT; two daughters, Judy Masucci and her husband Jacques Parker of Wexford, PA, Beth Germain and her husband Nathaniel of Granby, MA; six grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Masucci and one sister, Freda Pavlik.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT.  Relatives and friends attending the Mass are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church and are required to wear protective face masks while inside of the church.  Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery with full military honors accorded.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.  All attending calling hours are requested to wear protective face masks while inside of the funeral home.
