Obituary

Dolores J. Cusati passed away on October 27th 2022, at the age of 89.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 8th 1933.  It was there that she enjoyed going to Coney Island Amusement Park with her grandparents.  She relocated to Torrington with her parents at a very young age.

Dolores graduated from Torrington High School class of 1951 and worked at Hendy Machine Company for a few years prior to marriage and family.

She was a member of the sorority known as Beta Sigma Phi for many years and enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets.  She enjoyed making Christmas ornaments throughout the year.  She was a member of St. Peter Church and taught religious classes for many years.  She worked at Summit Bank for several years as well.

Dolores was a great cook and even a better baker.  Christmas was always her favorite holiday and she went all out decorating the house, spending weeks preparing for the holiday dinner and baking her famous cookies, cakes and pies.  Everyone got their favorite treat.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and she provided everything that her family needed.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Cusati (Deirdre) of Torrington and  Richard Cusati (Allison) of Winchester.  She is also survived by the two loves of her life, her beloved grandsons, Daniel P. Cusati and Robert F. Cusati whom she spent so much time with as they were growing up.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Fred J. Cusati as well as her son Fried J. Cusati, Jr.  She is also predeceased by her sister Joan Landrette and her brother Ralph Bisciotti.

She is also survived by her brother Richard Bisciotti of Litchfield, CT and two sisters Marlene DelGallo of Naples, FL and Diane Wakefield of Naples, FL.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses at Geer Memorial Nursing and Rehab, especially Joe, Kimmie, Alycia, Tracy and Meagan.
