Anthony C. Piccolo

Anthony C. Piccolo, 76, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a long illness.  He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Santa Maria) Piccolo for 51 years. 

Tony was born April 30, 1945, in Torrington CT, the son of the late Anthony and Andolfa (DiNatale) Piccolo.  After graduating from Torrington High School, he enlisted with the US Air Force, and was honorably discharged during September of 1969.  He owned and operated the Anthony C. Piccolo Insurance Agency, which he founded in 1979 until his retirement in 2003.  He was an avid golfer, but his real passion was cruising and fishing on his boat in the  Long Island Sound.

In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Nardi.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 12 o’clock noon at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery with full military honors accorded.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.  Relatives and friends attending funeral services are reminded to follow current CDC recommendations for COVID prevention.
