William "Bill" F. Falk

William “Bill” F. Falk, 90, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Avampato) Falk for 60 years.

Bill was born October 31, 1928, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Perise) Falk.  He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was employed by Equifax as an Insurance Inspector until his retirement.

He enjoyed woodworking, painting, solving Sudoku puzzles, traveling, going to the Casino, loved dogs and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge #372. 

The Falk family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Intensive Care Unit, and also to Dr. Dennis Gottfried and his staff for their care and compassion.

In addition to his wife Margaret, he is survived by a son Daryl Falk and his wife Cathleen of New Hartford, CT; a daughter Lisbeth Baca and her husband Michael of Torrington, CT; a sister Ruth Franks; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Colin, Liam, Grace, Ava, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Persechino, Louise Bruneau, and one brother, Frederick Falk.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
