Marie C. Gervasini

Marie C. Gervasini, 84, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a brief illness.

Marie was born March 26, 1935, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Orlando and Josephine (Pagani) Gervasini.  She retired from the  Torrington Board of Education after 35 years of teaching .  She was a member of the Torrington Women’s Club, and a founding member of the Mu Chapter Alpha Delta Kappa.

Marie is survived by one sister, Ann T. Foster and her husband Michael of Hayes, VA; one nephew Kevin Foster (Heather); one niece, Kristin Bond; two great nephews, Tucker Bond and Kaleb Foster, as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
