Lucy (Clancy) Gould, 100, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Gould.
Lucy was born August 11, 1919, in County Clare, Ireland, the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Reynolds) Clancy. She was employed by St. Francis Hospital, in Poughkeepsie, NY as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. She was a member of the Taconic Grange in Sharon, CT.
She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Bonetti and her husband Dave of Torrington, CT, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Ann Moran and Mai Fitzgerald of Bronx, NY, Kate Lonergan of Co. Tipperary Ireland, Ena Kelly and Nonie O’Brien of Co. Clare, Ireland, and four brothers, Mike Clancy, Tom Clancy and Pakie Clancy of Co. Clare, Ireland, and Pat Clancy of Co. Longford, Ireland.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, with the cortege leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown, RI. Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Cook Funeral Home.
