Norma (Finotti) Johns

Norma (Finotti) Johns, 85, of Torrington, passed away on April 24, 2016, at Litchfield Woods. Born in Torrington on July 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Lucy Catherine (Battistoni) Finotti. She was the beloved wife of Robert Johns for 63 years.

Prior to her retirement, Norma was employed in the lending department of Webster Bank. She enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas, loved car rides, enjoyed family visits out of state, and attending First Friday and praying the rosary at Sacred Heart Church.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Lynn Visentin and her husband, John, of Torrington; her sisters, Theresa Richards of Goshen, Louise Hough, and Frances Daley both of Torrington; her granddaughters, Loren Visentin Garfield and Julie Visentin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Laura Finotti Mlynar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Condolences may be sent to the Johns family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com.
