Mildred S. Hugger

Mildred S. Hugger, 97, formerly of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in Bristol, CT.   She was the wife of the late Edward F. Hugger.

Mildred was born February 23, 1918, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late John and Gustina (Struculo) Hrobon.  She was employed by the Register Citizen as a typesetter until her retirement.  A lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, she was blessed with many friends with whom she joined in the “Monday Morning Breakfast Club” and also played Bingo with.  She enjoyed Arts and Crafts, especially needlepoint, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Adored by her family, she is survived by two grandchildren, Steven Hudak and his wife Debbie of Bristol, Sharon Miller an d her husband Mark of Cambridge, MA;  and three great grandchildren, Joshua Hudak, Victoria Hudak both of Bristol, and Abigail Miller of Cambridge, MA.  She was preceded in death by one son, Rudolph J. Hudak.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
