Luis D. Pizarro, Jr.

Luis D. Pizarro Jr., 73, of Torrington, CT, passed away September 27, 2016, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.   

Luis was born April 12, 1943, in Puerto Rico, son of the late Luis D. and Juana (Cruz) Pizarro Sr.  He was employed by New Opportunities as a Social Worker.  A community activist, he loved people and served two terms as a Selectman and Constable for the City of Torrington.  Luis was also a Justice of the Peace.

He is survived by his companion, Angela Casasanta of Torrington, CT, sons, Luis D. Pizarro III of Bronx, NY, Vincent Pizarro of Torrington, CT,  Antonio Pizarro of Torrington, CT, daughter, Linda Pizarro of Hackensack, NJ, brother, Phillip Pizarro of Bronx, NY, sisters, Jenny Domiaquez of Bronx, NY, Inez Rodriguez of Yonkers, NY, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, September 30, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
