Lisa Lynn (Sorvillo) Penikas

Lisa Lynn (Sorvillo) Penikas, 57, of Bristol, CT, peacefully passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of James W. Penikas.

Lisa was born September 5, 1960, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Italo and Evelyn (DeVaux) Sorvillo.  She was employed by St. Paul Catholic High School, as the Administrative Assistant to the President and Deans for 16 years. She enjoyed visiting casinos and traveling with her husband.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Karen Donovan of Torrington, Paula Marchetti and her husband Jeffrey of Torrington;  father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Suzanne Penikas of Bristol; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, with a Funeral Service to be held at the conclusion of calling hours.  Burial will be private.
