Jessica Renee Marciano

Jessica Renee Marciano, 32, of Torrington, CT, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident in Texas.

Jessica was born September 23, 1984, in New London, CT.  She is survived by her mother Karen (Roelofs) Marciano, and was predeceased by her father, Alfred Marciano.  She is also survived by  aunts and uncles, Wendy Roberts, David Roelofs, Kathy  DePaoli, Maryanne Uccello, Evey and Bob Marracino, Sheilah Marciano, and many cousins.  She will be sadly missed by her friends in the RenFest and fire spinning communities.

Jessica was a graduate of the Torrington High School Class of 2002, and she also studied Automotives at the Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury.  Jess spent the last nine years traveling and working in Sales at Renaissance Festivals in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota and New York.  Her hobby and part time occupation was performing as a fire spinner.  She attended and taught workshops in the Northeast.  She was an accomplished dancer and acrobat, which spilled over into her many activities.  She enjoyed hiking and the outdoors, was a talented musician and a cat lover. 

Jessica was a free spirit who followed her heart and lived life to the fullest.  She will be remembered as a wonderful and compassionate friend, full of energy and positive attitude.  Her contagious laugh and her genuine smile will be sadly missed by family and friends. There is an Indian saying that says “we will be remembered by the tracks we leave behind” and she left tracks on many hearts.  If you wish to remember Jess in a special way, reach out to a person in need, do a kind deed or give a hug or word of encouragement – it’s what Jess would do.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Friday, April 21, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington, CT, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
