Janice J. (Dowd) Kelsey

Janice J. (Dowd) Kelsey, 78, of Torrington, CT, passed away April 27, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital.  She was the wife of the late James Kelsey.

Janice was born August 31, 1937, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Obiedzinski) Dowd.  She was an employee of Big Y Supermarket for 27 years, until her retirement. 

She is survived by two sons, Michael Kelsey and his wife Jessica, Richard Kelsey and his wife Lisa, both of Torrington; one daughter, Sharon Kelsey of Plainville, CT; four brothers, Jack Dowd, Ray Dowd, Jim Dowd, Kenneth Dowd, all of Torrington; one sister, Betty Cantu of Harwinton; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Dowd and two sisters, Bernice Ugaglia and Marilyn Capra.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
