Elvira R. DiNoia

Elvira R. DiNoia, 84, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Valerie Manor. Born October 22, 1932, in Torrington, she was the daughter of the late Girolamo and Antonia (Fierri) DiNoia.

Elvira was employed in the Billing Department at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed painting, especially oil painting, as well as doing arts and crafts. She was an avid reader and dearly loved her cats and dogs.

She is survived by one brother, Albert DiNoia of Torrington; one sister, Helen Werner of Torrington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Joseph DiNoia; and five sisters, Florence Malone, Tina Mecca, Louise Mayo, Lee DiNoia and Josephine Barredo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.
