Elizabeth J. (Burnes) Hackett

Elizabeth J. (Burnes) Hackett, 87, of Southbury, CT, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late J. Franklyn Hackett.

Elizabeth was born November 29, 1929, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Schwartz) Burnes. 

She is survived by four children, Ellen Pannone (Gary) of Monroe, CT, Kevin Hackett of Waterbury, CT, Nancy Hackett of Rockport, MA, Jeffrey Hackett (Lynn) of Glastonbury, CT; one brother, James Burnes of Bonita Springs, FL; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Mone, a brother, Arthur Burnes and two sisters, Roberta Hurley and Mary Ann Gugliotti.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington.  Burial will follow.  There are no calling hours.
