Angelina M. (Rossi) Renzullo

Mrs. Angelina (Angie) M.  Renzullo, 89, formerly of Torrington, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017.

Mrs. Renzullo was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 4, 1927, the oldest of three children of the late Salvatore and Angelina Rossi.  She moved to Torrington as a child, marrying and raising a family there until 2012 when she moved to South Windsor, CT.

Angelina loved to entertain family and friends with her cooking and baking.  She often shared these talents by teaching others in her home and though adult education classes.  In addition, she regularly catered dinner parties and receptions throughout northwestern Connecticut.  Mrs. Renzullo was employed for many years in the cafeteria of Torringford School.  She was a member of the Junior Woman’s League of Torrington and served with her husband as an usher at the Warner Theatre.  She was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter Church in Torrington, and was a member of the Children of Mary Society.

Mrs. Renzullo was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Olivilo (Oliver) and a brother, Fred Rossi.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Paul Seigle of Vernon, CT; a son, Philip Renzullo of Washington, DC; a grandson, Adam Seigle and his wife Carly, and great-granddaughter Ellie of Plainville, CT; a granddaughter, Tracy Seigle of Middletown, CT; a sister, Antoinette Regner of Torrington; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.   Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, January 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
